Nature brushes shift when loading new file version

When I sync and replace a new version of my sketchup file with an ongoing project in D5, the vegetation brushes lose their coordinates and are placed in a completely different location on the model.

The same materials have been kept in the sketchup file, and the model coordinates have not been modified, but when replacing an old file with the new version from sketchup, the brushes previously applied to the materials do not synchronize correctly and move, so I am forced to do all the work again.

Other elements such as individual assets and scatters work perfectly, as do textures.

Any idea what could cause this error?

Hi there,

I apologize for the inconvenience. May I know if you’re using the Direct Import or Livesync plug-in for your 3d Model?

  1. Import the model directly in D5 : After importing the model, click the “Sync Coordinates” immediately. Then, if you update the model, even the overall range (bounding box) of the model changes, the model will remain in place.

  2. Use D5 Workflow Plugin : If the D5 converter is used in the sync workflow, there will be no displacement issues

Thank you very much,

I ended up doing it like this: importing the model over and over again with successive changes.

Before I was working directly with Livesync plug-in, but at some point an error must have occurred in this model and that is what caused the failure. Maybe it’s caused for the heavy weight of the SKP file.

For now, I have solved it by reimporting the model directly into the D5 file, and we will see what happens with other projects.

Thanks for your help!!
