Mountain Forest Scatter issue

I’m having trouble applying the mountain forest scatter pattern. I click on the thumbmail, it loads for a while, and then nothing happens. I can’t apply the scatter to the area. I tried doing a clean data and nothing. I can’t apply this preset to any of my projects.

Hi @danielpaes

I just tried it in an empty file, it works on my end.

  • Does this only occur to this specific Asset?
  • Can you provide us with a video recording of how it behaves on your end?

@Clov So far I’ve checked what happens with Aerial Broadleaf Forest01, Aerial Broadleaf Forest03, and Mountain Forest. When I click as shown in the video, it loads for minutes and then nothing happens. Note that when I click on Aerial Broadleaf Forest02, it works normally.

Hi @danielpaes

Oh, okay, so it does happen to these 2 scatter assets. Can you please try the following:

  • Try to connect to a different network, perhaps your mobile data, just to check if the issue persists in this setup.
  • I would also like to know where your D5 Workspace is located, preferably it should be in your Local C or D drive, not in any cloud or shared network storage.
  • We can provide you with our domains and IPs for you to whitelist, then try to use these specific scatter assets again. I will send it to you privately.

If the issue persists even after doing these 3 suggested steps, then please generate a log file for us.

hi @Clov

I connected to another network and the problem persisted. My workspace is already on a local SSD drive on my machine. I added the domains you sent me to my whitelist and the issue continues.

Here’s a link to download my logs.

Hi @danielpaes

Thanks for this. Can you also confirm if this issue only occurred to this specific file?

  • If it’s only in a specific file, then we also think sending this specific D5 File is essential. We will check your logs while we wait.

hi @Clov
This happens with any project. Not specifically one. Do you still need me to send you the project file?

Hi @danielpaes

Thanks for confirming. Yes, we will be needing your D5 Project file. You may generate a WeTransfer link containing the zipped file.

@Clov Here’s the link to download the project.

Hi @danielpaes

Thank you for sharing this information. It will be very helpful for our testing process. We aim to incorporate the file as soon as we can, although many team members are currently on their national holiday.
