Model origin changing my texture seams

Hello everyone! I’m migrating to D5 render and so far it’s being a great experience.
But I’m having a hard time with the material continuation through diferent groups in the same model. I’ve been told that the origin of the groups inside the 3D model affect the texture starting position, and so decided to set the same origin for the diferent groups. It worked halfway: the horizontal seams of the texture have been aligned, but it has breaking points everytime the separate groups inside the model find each other, as seen below;

How can I solve this and prevent on future projects?

Hi @vnco.lucas

Does this surface have a different material assignment in your 3d Modeling software? Have you perhaps tried enabling Tri-planar Mode?

Hey Clov! Sorry for the delay in responding… The same material is assigned to both parts. The faces are in different groups, though. I’ve noticed similar problems in other models. Still didn’t find an easy workaround, but I’ve noticed that having multiples groups and different group scales in sketchup tend to cause this.

Hi @vnco.lucas

Yes you’re right, if it’s possible for you to explode the group (perhaps reducing it) we recommend doing. Since we have yet to address this issue perhaps in subsequent release.
