Missing objects

A few assets have gone missing from a recent model, they’re on visible layers and are not intentionally hidden, also I can see that they are still in the model if I search for them in the objects panel but they. I un-sync’d then re-sync’d the model plus I closed D5 and re-opened it, but neither makde a difference.

This is no problem for me, I’ve simply replaced them with new assets, but if they were elements that were critical to the design on a larger model that I might not had noticed had gone missing, then that would be an issue.

To clarify,

  • Does this occur to all of your files or only specific ones? Is it consistent? Any detailed process would be helpful for us to try to replicate the issue, otherwise, we may need to collect your files for testing.
  • The missing assets are from D5’s online library?
  • Are they placed in the local path and not in the server or cloud storage?
  • What 3d Modelling software are you currently using and which version?
  • What’s your D5 Render Version? I highly recommend updating to 2.11.1.0620 since this build has fixed a lot of issues that were evident in the base version of 2.11.

So far I’ve only experienced it on one project, but every time I open it the same assets go missing:
Champagne with ice bucket.
Black metal marble square coffee table.
Black metal spotlight 02.
Black metal gardient table lamp.

If I search for them by name in the object panel, I can see they are still there and if I select their name then their widget appears but nothing else. They are on visible layers.

I always begin a project from Sketchup Pro and syncing it with D5 and use v2.11.1.0620.

  • And just to clarify, this issue is consistently evident every time you open the file and the same assets disappear, right?
  • Are they placed in the local path and not in the server or cloud storage?

Every time they go missing but can still be found within the search feature, there are multiple versions of them now from when I have downloaded them from the asset library again, and each time they disappear. I don’t know what you mean by “local path”, I simply drop them from the D5 asset library into the model.

I meant if the file was stored in a local path, not in server nor cloud storage.
