Mirror with noise in animation

Whenever I animate a scene with a mirror or any reflective material this happens, which makes the image very ugly. How can I improve this?

Hi there @paloma.bonani

I apologize for the inconvenience. Have you tried enabling or disabling Super Resolution or FPS Booster? Let me now the results.
Super Resolution and FPS Booster

Additionally, which version are you currently using? If you are using the 2.10 version, does the issue happen in the previous 2.9.1 also? Thank you.

Yes, they are enabled, I’m using version 2.9.1, and the problem is after the animation is rendered, ok?

Hi @paloma.bonani

Alright, can you perhaps send us your file so I can test it on my end? You may send it to support@d5techs.com and have it titled ‘Clov-Forum Mirror with noise in animation’ please also include this forum link for navigation ease. Thank you.

I sent it right now

Hi

We have recived your email and have requested access for the file. Thank you.

I released your access

Hi @paloma.bonani

I have tested your file in 2.10 Version and it seems that it has a better output compared to the video that you have provided. Please see the video below and see if it is better compared to before.

For reference, I am using 2.10.0.0566 with updated graphic drivers.

I checked the videos and the mirror still has this distorted animation in the reflective material. In D5, is there no way to make this animation fluid without these problems in the mirror? Because the presentation doesn’t look good.

Hi @paloma.bonani

Try rendering it at 2k Quality with 60 fps.

So, I don’t know if you’ve seen the video, but the mirror still has noise even this way.
Is there any way to make this mirror 100% sharp or not, I need an accurate and fast score because my client depends on this feedback?

Hi @paloma.bonani

My apologies for the ‘inaccuracies’. I’ve been exploring different settings to achieve the desired outcome you were looking for. However the dark area reflected in the mirror is causing significant noise due to the limitations of rendering in low-light environments. You may:

  • Add a subtle light source that illuminates that part.
  • Increase exposure or brightness

Currently, no option reduces the noise automatically in similar scenes; hence, a trial and error in adjusting the exposure/brightness parameters may be necessary. If these options still do not let you achieve the results and the noise is still prominent, then I may need to report this requirement for further optimization. Thanks
