I am applying material in D5 render and making the material custom to switch on the triplanar option but i am still facing some issue with the mapping not appearing correctly, although in the sketchup model its a single surface. Please advice on how to fix this problem.
Hi there,
I apologize for any inconvenience. Can you send us a screenshot of how this section looks in SketchUp? You may also try the following:
- Enable Hidden Geometry under Views then proceed to place the texture in these sections. You may need to manually adjust the material in D5 since it may appear distorted.
- You can also try to follow this video which made use of a plug-in named Thru-Paint:

Note: The effect may not be as seamless as other 3d Modeling software like 3dsMax, blender, etc. since they do have an option to change UVW Mapping.
Hey bro,
Thanks for the quick response. I figured out a way to solve it yesterday by adding segments on the sketchup model for the portion of the texture that appeared to be distorted and then reversed face and the alignment issue got fixed in D5 Render.
Cheers
Im quite curious what that specific portion in SketchUp looks like, can you send us a screenshot of it? Or is it similar to the image that I have provided? Thank you.
