Hi D5 team, through Rhino-D5 workflow, the material UV mapping will change when I copy/paste between different geometries in D5. What is the best way to solve it? Any things we need to do in Rhino to optimize it? I tried to put them on different material layers in rhino but manually change each material UV is not efficient at all. Remap each surfaces in Rhino is also an extra step. Hope you can help me on this. Thank you!
Hi there,
I apologize for the inconvenience this issue has caused. Can you please send us a screenshot of the issue being experienced? This will really help us better understand and provide you with an accurate solution or workaround.
- If you’re using Multiple UV Mapping, we have yet to support this requirement for now.
I await for your reply, thank you.
Hi, see the screenshot. I apply the same material to these two surfaces, but they are mapped out differently. I am in Rhino-D5 workflow.
Hi @ydu
We’ve tried it on our end and it seems that this may be related to how Rhino adapts to these surfaces. Inserting a texture and proceeding to render it in Rhino seems to have the same effects and changing UV Maps does not change the outcome. I do suggest contacting Rhino Support for this matter and perhaps having them explain this concept and suggestion.
