Material ID is not accepted
Hello everyone, hello Team D5
I tried assigning different materials to one object in Blender like the image below. But when exporting the .abc file via D5 Render, it no longer recognizes the material ID. I can’t adjust the glass or many other materials for doors, wheels, etc. Is there any adjustment in the settings when exporting abc files from Blender to D5?
Hi, I don’t know if I can help you on the question of textures, maybe you’re missing a step, I’ll post a video that explains how to make an ABC with blender and export it to D5, then from the material you gave the colors insert the textures from D5 which they would load automatically without scaling or moving:
Hello, the way I export the model from Blender to D5 with abc file is the same as yours. But I don’t understand why mine doesn’t recognize the material ID @@
HI. Maybe when he exports the textures you have to see the extension, then if you notice in the video, he loads it and it is white, but a priori he has diversified the name of the material equal to the name of the texture of both the body and the face, so when he saves it in blender with the textures you open it in D5, in that case it loads the textures from D5, automatically because it remembers the ABC files, perhaps this is the step you don’t do.
If you don’t see the texture from the D5 map amount, you should perhaps open it in Photoshop and save it with no strange characters, possibly only in English. With the same dimensions as the images, see if it loads like this
Hello. Currently D5 does not support abc file import with material. But you can do the material distinction in the modelling software first, and then add the material after importing into D5.
