Lost Revit Link

Dear D5 Team,

I’ve been working on a D5 project directly linked to Revit. Whenever I made a change in Revit, I simply hit the sync model button and everything worked smoothly.

For some inexplicable reason, I decided to export a D5A file from Revit and then re-import it into D5 as a new local asset.

Unfortunately, I’ve lost all the materials I had previously applied, and I’m unable to re-link the Revit model to continue working as before.

I also attempted to restore a previous version from the history (which displays the model thumbnail with materials), but when I switch to any of the three available versions, the model fails to appear in D5.

Can anyone assist me with this issue?

Hi, I have the impression with what you posted, it’s a question of coordinates of the objects.
It happened to me too, having the project structure in the coordinates 0.00,0.00,0.00
it is the lights that I had placed elsewhere.
You won’t notice this, because the distance and height are different, so just select your project on the drop-down screen, unlock it and then use the automatic zoom to get closer, in this case you will find it.
I hope this is the problem, then to resolve it you know that you have to bring the objects closer by selecting them all and move them to the right coordinates.

Unfortunately, riccardofortelli, that didn’t work.

As suggested, I unlocked the linked model, pressed Z (to focus on the model), and all I get is that there is something there but nothing showing.

What I found interesting is the scale shows on the Z,Y and Z value as all zeros. I even tried scaling the X, Y, Z to 8000, which is what the original came in at, and still nothing.

Would anyone else have any suggestions?

Hello again, so the problem is the scale, I notice that the scale is not chained, you have to put 8000 which is the value of Z, so X and Y will also be automatically adjusted, but it must be connected, that is, the little icon above the staircase must be closed.
The model also needs to be closed to work, if I’m not mistaken

Hello, are you using 2.7 to open a scene made with an older version? Is this current current 2.7 the latest?
