Local library empty

Hello D5,

Haven’t worked a while in D5 and started a new project. I wanted to add an object to the local library and now my local library is totally empty? All my saved objects and materials are gone?

Please help

Hello, did you once reinstall D5Render or change its storage location?

Please go to there to check whether there are local contents. Besides, the default location is in D5 Render’s installation folder, please check it, we will follow up with this topic here, thanks for your understanding and patience!

Hello Oliver,

No, I never reinstalled D5, just updated every time. And also never changed my default assets storage. I did find the thumbnails on the installation folder, but not the models itself. What’s the installation path for the local library?

Thanks.

Hello, the default location is in a folder called library in D5 installation folder:
Please check whether there are files here:

Besides, do you also have D5 Render Preview on your computer? It is separate from the official version.

Hello Oliver,
I don’t have an location _User / xxxx / Appdata / Roaming / D5 Render > library?
And I have never had a preview version installed.

Hello, can you find a folder called “library” in the installation folder of D5 Render?

Strange, I can’t find a folder called library in any folder?

Alright, the default folder is the “library” under installation folder of D5, and you can right click on D5 Render->open file location, to find the installation folder.

And if you have once migrated the location, then you can find the folder in D5 Render:

If they both do not have the model files, we may need to use other ways to find them. Did you once reinstall D5 Render in another place?

I looked at all the folders on my pc and all my drives but no “library” folder from D5. As I said I found the thumbnails from my local library. I never reinstalled D5.
Maybe I have to reinstall D5 2.2 and build my local libary all over?

Hello, if you click this button, what folder will open? Maybe it is not called library, it can be named “workspace” as well. Besides, would you like to start remote access for further troubleshooting?

yeah, open the folder “model” and it should have all models in your local library. Does it have?

No just one model I made. Then I noticed that all my self made models were gone and started this topic.

just ko to old folder cut and pate into new folder, happened to me then i did it worked
