Loading environment preset

hello,
I saved an environment preset in 5 seconds, if I want to load it into my scene, it continues to loop and nothing happens. Thank you for your help.

I’m stuck, still waiting

Hi @julienfischel

I apologize for the inconvenience. Have you tried connecting to another network or used a VPN? Presets are usually reliant on the internet/network connection, so any problems or issues with it may be caused by:

  • Poor Network Connection
  • Your Network Connection is blocking our IPs

Just to confirm the issue that you are experiencing:

  • Can you use the AI Tool normally?
  • Does this only occur in this particular Environment Asset? How about for Brush, Path, Scatter?

Thank you.

hello,
scatter brush works well and fast. Internet connection is ok. The hdr file for this environment is on the same machine, but in an other project file. I will try to save an other environment and see whats the issue

I was able to save another environment and reinstall it on another scene. This one doesn’t work. So I try to manually copy the settings, but it doesn’t give the name of the HDR map, it’s weird

whereas for this project it clearly indicates the name of the HDR map

Hi @julienfischel

Can you check if this custom HDRI is present in your Workspace folder? It is usually found in this file directory C:\D5 WorkSpace\customhdr

I used a Demo Scene file and tried generating an Effect which I stored in D5 Studios, no issue on my end.

  • This issue persists in all of the other files, right?
  • Does this issue occur even if you are using the built-in HDRI Maps in D5 Render?
  • If possible, can you send us a copy of the HDRI that you are currently using where this issue was evident?

Hello,
no, it’s empty

Yesterday I recorded a new environment, which I saved and was able to save and reuse.
Today, I tried to save the “Turdot” environment, but I still can’t reload it.

Hi @julienfischel

Can you send us your log files and D5 scene file?

thanks for your help, i sent the log file to you, and i will send the files you request

Hi @julienfischel

I just tested your file. Please make sure that the HDRI that you have used exists in the D5 Workspace folder > Custom HDRI. If this specific HDRI does not exist, the problem occurs, and it will load indefinitely.

I downloaded the exact same copy of your HDRI from polyhaven and imported it to D5 then generated the Preset again, now it is working normally. Approaching Storm HDRI • Poly Haven

Thanks for your help, but I’m wondering why D5 didn’t find the hdri file.

Hi @julienfischel

Once you have imported a custom HDRI it should appear in the workspace folder. Otherwise, you may have deleted this HDRI unknowingly or perhaps reinstalled the Workspace folder.

Hello,
I did another test on the laptop: I downloaded an hdri, in a new project folder. In D5 I created a new environment preset. If I reopen D5 and apply the new preset it works. but the hdri file does not appear in the Windows/D5 Workspace folder
Then I tried on the desktop PC and it works too except that I don’t have a Windows/D5 Workspace folder on this computer…

Hi @julienfischel

  • After importing the custom HDRI to D5 Render, it should appear in the workspace folder. Try to access it in this manner and see if the custom HDRI is present, please send us a screenshot too. It might be possible that you have multiple WorkSpace Folder installed.
