Issues with the scatter

I’m having issues with the scanner.
There are uncovered areas remaining, and it’s unclear what’s causing this.
Before the last update, everything worked fine

Hi @ekhalikov

Does this only occur to a specific file? Can you send us this specific file? Please set up the scenes near to this exact location so I can test it immediately. You may send it to support@d5techs.com and have it titled 2.11 Clov-Forum Issues with the Scatter

I hope d5 crew can help.

I also did have this.

My workaround was to segment the plan with grass.
So instead of one big plane make 3 dffrent materials and place 3 times a new scatter.

Thank you very much for your quick response.
After the update, this issue occurs in every scene.
I will send the latest file I’ve been working on to support.
Would it be possible to send the email via WeTransfer? My work email has size limits, so I can’t send it that way.

Hi @ekhalikov

I just tested your file; it has the same results with 2.11 and 2.10. May I know how this specific surface looks like or how it was modeled in your 3d Modelling software?

Similar issue but a different approach to the problem.
Using scatter as well as material grass.
Here is image with only scatter applied for grass. You can see stepping stones some areas dont get filled with grass. Even after a new slider being introduced as scatter quality. Which on default is at 70. Even after maxing it out to 500. doesn’t help with result. Still get lack of the scatter in certain area.

Here is the same after applying both scatter for larger grass and also applying material as grass for some areas that doesnt reflect grass patches. Empty zones get filled. but reduce the height and also trim it so it doesn’t over shadow the existing scatter used.

I know its not the solution to the problem u are facing because even am getting the same error you are at certain edges. As you can see at the extreme right edge of every image its that same issue. the scatter has come above my paving while its not supposed to even after applying the culling in the material. Also yes. This was not happening in 2.10 used to happen in previous version before 2.10 and now back in 2.11.

Also sometimes sketchup planes are better handled in D5 for scatter and grass if you subdivide them. What i meant is, to use the plugin JHS Powerbar>Subdividefaces[TIG] or Splitup[TIG] option in the bar. Its recreates the simple large rectangle face into more smaller denser faces. Helping D5 to be able to get better detail to work with.

Thanks for listening.

I work with 3ds max
this area was modeling just like always, spline then editpoly
I’ve used this same method in other scenes before

Hi @ekhalikov

Alright, thanks for the clarification. Can I collect a portion of your 3d Model? Specifically, just this portion of the surface where the scatter was generated.
