Issue when animating scenes with fog

D5, latest version, has an issue on animations when the fog is on. I haven’t tweaked the fog for each shot (camera). I have set it only one time.
As you can see in these two frames, the first one has incorrect fog. It happens only on the first frame of each sequence. I must delete the first frame.
Regards.

Looks like the fog setting isn’t kicking in properly on the first frame of each animation. One easy fix is to duplicate your first frame, move it to the second spot, and then delete the original first frame before rendering. You could also try keyframing the fog at the start of every shot so it applies correctly right away.

Hi @gabrielefx

Can you perhaps let us know the full process here? I tried replicating it on my end, but it
seems that the Fog Particle is evident throughout the Sequence that I have rendered.

Even i have same issue, my only workaround is to add like 1min or so extra so i can delete it later after. Thats its im exporting MP4 file.
If its frames export then just delete first frame. and ur good to go.
This issue is persistent from earlier versions too. its erratic and comes on some and doesn’t on others so cant really pin point the fault lies where, its just a bug is all. Some scenes are fine while others have that first frame whited out because of fog. Also very high chances are when the previous shot that like different fog settings and it get confused on what to take that first frame. Even sometimes the lighting on the first frame goes wanky if the previous frame has different lighting settings. But luckily we have only 1 wrong frame and hence rest of it seems k.

Hi Clov,

Because I’ve shared my scene, you can also see the fog bug that occurs when saving a PNG sequence.
Please check my video to see exactly what happens.

At the moment, each sequence contains two frames with incorrect fog rendering.
I hope that with my scene you’ll be able to reproduce and fix the issue.

Best regards.

Hi @gabrielefx

This issue will also be addressed in 2.11 hotfix, together with the IES issue that you have reported.
