Hey guys, I was on the middle of a project and someone saved the SKP file in 2021 format. As a result, the model disappeared from d5.
As soon as the file was resaved on 2020 version, it showed again in D5, but all materials are lost.
Is there any backup in d5 files?

Hello, did you use plugins to sync, or import the skp file into D5 directly?
If you used the plugin, then it does not matter whether it is skp2021 because all versions are supported. You should make sure the video driver is updated.
If you imported skp model directly, sorry, it is not supported to use “Reload” feature to replace it with a new one, we cannot keep its materials.

Hello Oliver! Thanks for the answer… I just redid the materials. Usually I use 3ds MAX and this was a single job that was on SKP.
It just got me thinking, would be great to have a second backup file se we could roll back in cases like this!

Hi, a second back up file may take up more spaces on your drive. But in 2.1, we will have auto-save feature as backups, which backs up version history every 5 or 10 or 60 minutes.
