Importing a Revit Model

Is the only way to import a Revit model by using the Revit sync? I ask because Revit is $365/month but Revit LT is $70.

I only need to insert the Revit model. I don’t need to sync once it’s in D5 Render. I have a current Revit LT subscription where I’ve made my model.

Hi @jeffreylewispa

  • Thanks for reaching out. Sorry, direct import of Revit model is not supported for now. The Revit sync plugin currently does not support Revit LT as well.

  • For now, you can consider exporting models in other formats like .fbx, from Revit LT and then import it to D5.
    Thanks for understanding!

Thanks. I was hoping D5 Render would make sync with Revit LT possible. Revit is five times the cost of Revit LT.

I did try to import an Fbx file and D5 Render stalled at 14%

Hello, thank you very much for your advice and support. This thing is not possible at the moment because revit LT doesn’t support installing plugins. You can do what Leah said, export your file to a format supported by D5 and then import it directly into D5. Or import the file into another software that currently supports the sync plugin and then sync it to D5.
