When I add lights in Sketchup and then assign a specific IES file in D5 the program does not “rember” the assigned ies file when I re-start the program. Instead it defaults to a “multi” file. Am I doing something wrong?

If you select a light group, then the IES list will display “Multi”; If you double-click to select the specific light object, I think IES file will be the correct one?
After seeing your post I made some tests but did not recreate the problem you described. If the problem remains, please let me know.
