After using D5 Render with my student license on a laptop, I recently switched to working on a desktop. I downloaded the program and logged in on the new device, but it prompted me to log in from the previously registered laptop, and I was unable to access the software on the desktop.
I was wondering if there is a way to transfer the license authentication to my desktop.
Do I need to deactivate the license on my laptop first and then go through the student verification process again on the desktop?
Our educational license is a “fixed-seat” license, as stated on our official user manual/website. This means your Edu account is limited to one specific computer, and changing devices isn’t permitted. When your current license expires, you can simply reapply on your new or upgraded device. This process helps us ensure secure and authorized access.
So just to confirm, does this mean that the license currently applied to my laptop cannot be transferred or changed in any way, and that I can only use D5 Render on my desktop after the existing license expires and I go through the student verification process again?
