Hello Im Lumion user for more than 10 yrs. I like D5 coz of plants library and features. Is there any way on how to make the plants transparent? by selecting a group or plant name?

Thank you for choosing D5. Currently, D5 has some limitations, one of which is the inability to set plants and foliage to semi-transparent. However, there are alternative solutions that may not be as effective as you’d like. One option is to set the leaf as a foliage material and adjust the opacity intensity. A value of 0 makes the material opaque, while a value of 1 makes it completely translucent. Another method is to use the cloth material template and adjust opacity without using an opacity map. Alternatively, you can export channel maps and process them in Photoshop to achieve a similar semi-transparent effect for a specific material in D5.

Thanks for your response, yes i tried that but quite annoying i have to do group of foliage opacity hope in the future D5 will address this very useful feature but not only that there’s a lot more. We had a good meeting with then in New york and i throw a couple question regarding layering e,g how too to put brushes and scatter in layer. Nevertheless, D5 is my thing now in terms of rendering.
