HOW TO DELETE Imported synced file from inside d5 render?

hi Luna… having trouble…i have made a new d5-render file… and within this new blank file i sync 2 sketchup files… after importing /sync from sketchup all appeared inside d5…

now the problem…is… i need to delete 1 of these file…inside d5-render (xxxxxxxxxxxsuir.skp)

is there a way to do it? coz i cant really find the solution.

thanks in advance.

I HIGHLY suggest that D5 must add a button or menu to “call out the sync model menu interface

which is missing and no where to be found… and cannot be SUMMONED  :woman_shrugging:

Hi there,

You may press right click on the “xxxxxxsuir.skp” which will prompt this pop-up menu

You may now then click delete in order to remove the Skp model.

? :face_with_head_bandage: for some reason …i dont see that option.

You may need to disable live sync mode by clicking this here:

Then the delete option will be visible.

still… bro… nothing showed up…

Could you please send me your scene file at support@d5techs.com and tag me “@Aryan” so that i could investigate further.

sorry i cant send…
basically this is not imported physically to D5…rather its link-up…only…

i need to remove the link…so it wont show on my d5 main file.

hope it make sense…

u can replicate the process…

1st.

create 2 seperate SKP file… say… 1 file consist of a cube… 2nd file is a donut. both are individual SKP file…

2nd.

now launch ur d5 render… …once on screen and open… go back to your sketchup and hit- SYNC. for each file… so u will do it twice since these are seperate file…

3rd…

once u see both objects… inside d5 …SAVE ur d5 file… say… donut_cube.drs

4th…

now remove the DONUT.skp from your donut_cube.drs.

last step is where im having problems… i cant remove it. (delete/unlink)

Hi there,

Upon checking after Clicking the Non-Live sync mode, may you please move the scene/Model a little bit. Then the delete option will now show.

It might take a little longer depending on how heavy the scene is.

Let me know if it works for you.

Cheers,
Aryan

Hi there,

You may create a topic under “Ideas & Request” so that our team may be able to check and focus on this feature.

Here is the link for the Ideas & Request : Ideas & Requests - D5 RENDER FORUM

Thank you for your continous support.

Hi, I read your conversation about your problem, perhaps due to the deletion of the file I noticed that it is not unlocked, perhaps this is why the ‘delete’ command does not come out. This may be what’s causing you to not see the command.
It’s my guess

@riccardofortelli yo… thanks man… ALL good the DELETE option came out…just a bug or coding i guess since u basically need a refresh to see this on the menu… but yeah… just ON/OFF ur layer and all is well… (needs coding update)…

merci
