Hello. I normally share panorama links with clients, but one of my remote trade clients has just bought a meta quest 3 headset to present designs. What do I need to do from my end to enable this to happen?
Also my client does not have D5 whereas I have a Pro licence and I want to make sure they can still view the Pro assets.
I am still confirming with the team if this method is possible or if there are easier options to make it possible.
Aside from that, I think you can use Ultraviewer to log-in your D5 Render account in your client’s device then proceed to start VR.
You can just unbind the device after usage and log out your D5 account.
Install D5 on customer’s PC then log in to your pro account
Share the D5 file with the customer
If you have a TEAMS account, D5 Showreel can get a more three-dimensional effect than a normal panorama (this feature can be shared directly with others)
Note: In addition, the Meta Quest 3 v65 system update supports a panoramic view on iPhone (but no official documentation found, may need to consult Meta official).
I’m afraid that’s not an option as there are too many client sites/offices and I don’t want to go through that process every time.
I normally present my work using Google Meet (it seems more stable than Zoom and Teams for me) and take customers on a tour based on my preset scenes, then I also provide them with links to panoramas to look around in their own time hosted at panopdm.com. I have been doing things this way for years and would like to offer customers something better, but I don’t want them to be able to edit anything, it should be view only.
For now, this is currently one of our suggested methods in letting your clients experience VR. Unless if you are using the TEAMS Version of D5 Render then you can utilize the Virtual Tour Feature and send links to your clients.
As for other users, Im quite unsure how they let their customers experience VR but we did encounter some that invites them to their office and try the VR Device.
I understand what you mean now, I thought you were referring to Microsoft Teams previously, no wonder I was confused . I’m self employed so just have the Pro version of D5 - there must be some way of sharing as a web standalone.
I apologize for not being able to clarify it . I don’t think there is a way to share the VR view as a web standalone unless you’re a D5 Teams User and as you have mentioned you are using the PRO version.
Have you tried rendering in Panorama? Although this does not have the same capabilities as the Virtual Tour where you can roam in the designated points but you can upload this to a website that converts it to a 360 Panorama.
The Virtual Tour function is exclusive to TEAMS for the time being, but if you want to experience the effect for a short time, you can try a free trial (just remember to cancel it before it expires).
Rest assured, we are greatly considering the Virtual Tour feature in the PRO subscription although we can’t tell you the specific time of its support. Thank you for your understanding.
