[Hot Issue]D5 Crashes when "Save As" or "Save" is used (opening the file explorer)---Qt window conflicts with other DLLs

The D5 program files should be located in the folder where you installed D5 Render (by default, usually C:\Program Files\D5 Render, unless a custom path was selected).

Please check that location and let me know once you find it. If the issue persists, please collect and share your D5 log files so we can investigate further. Email it to support@d5techs.com, tag me, and include the link to this forum post for reference.

Hello, I am experiencing a critical issue with D5 Render. Every time I click on **Open, Save, or Import or any command that triggers a Windows folder pop-up—the program crashes instantly to the desktop without any error message or warning.

Everything was working perfectly fine before. This issue just started occurring about two weeks ago.I haven’t changed any major hardware, but the program has become unusable for saving or importing since then.

System Specifications:

Device: Laptop
OS: Windows 11
CPU:Intel Core i7
GPU:NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 Laptop GPU

You are the best Ela. For now it seems that the issue has been resolved. But I’ve been having this problem since I used sketchup live plugin in D5, can I use this plugin again? If problem happens again, May I reply to this comment to ask for your help?

I already tried deleting the part they mentioned, and also renaming the “usr.ini” file, but the problem persists.

Hola tengo exactamente el mismo problema, lograste solucionarlo? al abrir el usr como indican ni siquiera me sale el texto que debo borrar, estoy desesperado y no encuentro solucion en ningun lado :confused:

Hi I am using the 3.0.1 d5 version

Live plugin for Sketchup 2021 (But It works perfectly now, thank you so much!!)

yes I tried the * Rename the local files in the D5 \framework\ folder (MSVCP140.dll & _1.dll) to .old and now it works thank you
