Any update on when this will be fixed? The current preview resolution is really bad and is basically unusable. Also the option to move the image up/down is really needed.
Hi there, I apologize for the unsatisfactory result of the HDRI in the preview window. Currently, d5 compresses the custom HDRI to ensure smooth application performance. However, after rendering the image the output quality remains the same as the imported HDRI.

We have also received feedback suggesting the option to move the hdri image. Please rest assured that the team has taken note of this input. Thank you for understanding.
Thank you for the reply, appreciate it. I understand you can render at higher quality.
My concern is with preview only - when working with outdoor scenes, the current preview compression is really bad and very pixelated and blurry. For people who have systems that are powerful enough, would it be possible to allow us to select our own compression option for the HDR live preview - eg. 2K, 4K, 8K etc. And we can then decide what works smoothly for our system rather than a blanket default setting. Will this option be added? Thanks!
Thank you for sharing your feedback! I completely understand your concern about the preview quality, especially with outdoor scenes. Allowing users to select their compression options for HDR live preview sounds like a great idea, considering how it would beneficial for the preview to show the quality of the HDRI beforehand (before rendering) inorder to fully capture the environment the user wanted. While I can’t confirm specific updates at the moment, I’ll definitely pass your suggestion along to the team. Your input is invaluable, thank you.
