Is it possible to hide a newly added layer to multiple scenes simultaneously?
For example, I have about 30 scenes and added a section box at the end for a particular scene. So, I’ve created and added it to a layer to control its visibility so that it shows only one scene. I now have to cycle through all 29 other scenes to update so that this layer does not show up.
Is there a button I missed to do this process at once?
Hi,
this button won’t affect your previously set parameters. But if you need to adjust the parameters of a particular scene later, please remember to reset it to ‘Save Separately’ before updating the scene.
I have switched it to “Apply to All” and turned off the layer I want.
When I switch to another scene, yes it is off. But it’s not saved to the layer state until I hit the “update scene”. But if I update the scene with the layer I want off, it impacts the lighting and effects.
Even if you don’t click to update the scene, when you switch to another scene after hiding out a layer, that layer is still off. Are you saying that the effects in the scene changed after you hiding a layer without modifying any parameters? Can you explain this in more detail?
The effect did not change with Apply to All, when you switch to another scene.
However, how would you save the layer visibility to a scene without affecting the Environment & Effect? Isn’t this only achieved through updating the scene?
I am facing similar issues. To me a good solution would be: an option to decide whether or not layer / object visibility is set with the scene. But that unfortunately does not exist
I would love an option when creating new layers to only have it visible in one scene rather than having to manually go in and turn off the layer and update each scene. The entire purpose of Layers is for more control and time saving so to have it automatically be applied to all scenes is working backwards.
