Help with uv mapping - grass

Hello everyone, how are you?

I have doubts about UV mapping for when GRASS is applied.

It has happened to me on some occasions that I have more organic figures but the “vertical” faces do not have the mapping in the correct coordinates.

I leave a reference image where it can always be applied in the horizontal plane.

I did a test recently trying to map a sphere and it’s the same thing, in fact I couldn’t do what I needed.

Do you know if this has a solution in D5? I come from other rendering programs in which doing this is not a problem, but unfortunately I achieve this effect by creating materials with the FUZZ tool in the Material Graph and so far D5 does not have this category in its basic materials to create them with that logic.

Maybe the particular grass can’t be applied the way I need it, but if that’s the case, do you know or have any tips for generating FUZZ textures?

To clarify, this problem with the grass also happens to me when I tried to do an effect on the “mound” type ground, a ground that is not flat but rather irregular and quite rounded, which is why I think that perhaps I am not understanding how to apply the UV mapping to get it right.

Hello @connyhernandez.di,

We apologize for the inconvenience. We are aware that the terrain grass doesn’t support vertical surfaces, and our R&D team is actively working on finding the best solution. We hope to release an update soon. We apologize once again for any trouble this has caused.

Thank you and I appreciate your patience and understanding to D5
