Hi D5 Team,
I’ve synced my Revit file with D5 Render and almost finished my work. However, I’m facing an issue with a gate in the model. Since my Revit project is linked into D5 as a single model, I can’t separate the gate to make it slide.
Could you please guide me on how to separate the gate or any workaround to animate it?
you need to make an seprate RVT model and seprate that import. if you want to animate only the gate. only possible solution
Thank you for your response. I’ve already linked the Revit model to D5, and I’ve tried the separate export option in Revit. However, when I import the separated gate into D5, the original gate still appears in the model.
Is there a way to hide the original gate so that only the newly imported gate is visible for animation?
I appreciate your help in resolving this.
Delete or hide the object in the original RVT model, then relink or reload the file.
If that’s not possible, and the gate has a unique material assigned, you can replace the material with glass and set all its properties, including maps and refraction, to 0.0. This can sometimes make the material effectively invisible.
Thank you for the great suggestion! I’ll try replacing the gate’s material with glass and adjusting the properties to make it invisible. That sounds like a perfect solution.
