Having trouble with fabric on curtains

To compare, the first image shows my model without any drapery.

The issue I’m having is that when I apply the white gauze fabric to .skp drapery I’m getting white leaf shape reflections and circular shapes. That’s what is apparent in Example_1. Example_1 with D5 Render asset drapery helps with the white reflections, but the circular shapes are still apparent. In Example_2 you can see prior to rendering, shadowing is good. Shadowing is also good without ray tracing. However, once rendered with ray tracing, there are lots of white reflections and circles.

Does anyone know what’s going on? Is this typical?

Hi Jeffreylewispa.
Have you tried to change the material to the one of the leaf which is on the top right? Because I usually handle the curtain materials like this, you can take the fabric in the D5 models too, see if you solve the problem.

The D5 fabrics I tried use the foliage template as a default. They looked only a bit better when I used the cloth template. I don’t know why my draperies have so many mini circles AND odd white reflections in the fabric that I don’t see with the draperies of other users.

I played around with the curtains tonight and got some better results by bringing in a .skp file and not replacing the fabric with a D5 material:

But when I tried to make the draperies sheer, I got a cuckoo result:

Hi, I see that the result has improved, there are many aspects of the program that even I do not know, this thing intrigues me a lot, even if the programs I use always have the same problems. I always try to find a quick alternative that I have already used in other graphics programs, the result is always the same.
However I noticed that Oliver also gave you some advice, he is a very helpful staff person and manages the various problems of D5 well, also because the program is still at the beginning.
