Gives a way todo it more realistic and not so cartoon like?

Hi,

like the title gives a way todo it more realistic? I saw the rendering of the japanese garden and want to have the same quality: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQK0jbn0Jbo

Try changing the lighting direction, refining the material settings more carefully, and adjusting the effects and HDRI setup. Render an image that looks realistic, going through multiple steps and ensuring it is as polished as possible. Start by fine-tuning the HDRI - Sun, sunlight direction, materials, effects, etc.

Hi there,

  • In addition to what @NgTrung said, I do recommend turning off the “Auto Exposure” option since manually adjusting these parameters to your preference is recommended.

  • Aside from these parameters, finding the perfect angle by following some basic photography concepts such as the Rule of Thirds can greatly enhance the quality of your work. You may enable the “Grid” option in the “Display” Tab

Additionally, you can also refer to the official YouTube channel of D5 Render and participate in online seminar.

Thats my problem I checked tutorials but they look all like cartoon only the japanese garden and iam wondering why

It honestly depends on what HDRI you use and the settings. If you dont have a good HDRI the scene’s lighting will look more cartoony. Overcast HDRI tend to produce the most realistic results. Hopefully once D5 improves its raytracing system , it will be easier to get faster realistic results.

i had an coach from vietnam he is good. but still after that it is hard to get realistic . it really depend on the lightning and materials and also the camera angle

interior is less harder to achive than exterior.

Hopefully with d5 3.0 whe have PT

yes with interrior I have less troubles, but exterior It looks like cartoon and my night scene doesent looks bad. What is really missing is grunge or inperfections too.
