Exporting assets from Blender randomly making huge files

I would like to ask during export from Blender (via D5 addon) of really simple small asset - the d5 file got huge - even when I tried to export it with smaller resolution the size is the same. Thank you for help

Do you know what might be causing it?

Hi there,

I think this is because Blender uses a lot of advanced features which somehow makes the model detailed and heavy. Please try to check the number of polygons you have used on these models and if possible reduce them. Thank you.

Thank you, but I checked it,
I tried to export for a while it was around 8540 kb and then it jumped up for no apparent reason. I did restart the PC, blender and tried again - there are no modifiers, keyframes or something like that

Hi there @3dshaker

Just to clarify, after exporting these models from Blender to d5a the file size appears to be smaller and after some time it automatically jumps?

Yes, after a few seconds it jumped and folder which should have around 212 Mb has 1,5 GB
I will test it again but that is what happened

EDIT: size of blend file: 26 424 kb
exporting one asset from the scene: 98 572 kb
exporting full scene: 112 548 kb

For now, it is the only file doing it, I will see in the future because it is bizarre

Hi @3dshaker,

Thanks for this information. Blender and .d5a process data differently since textures are packaged and embedded with other resources directly into the exported file. This makes the file self-contained but significantly increases its size. Another possibility is some Unused Data, try to select all objects > File > Clean Up > Purge Unused Data

Additionally, you have mentioned that this is the only file having this kind of bizarre behavior, may I know the ratio of the exported and original file size of the other files you have tested? Thank you.
