can you please tell if the high path tracing values in the settings affect animation render quality? For sure I use it for single renders… but I wonder what D5 render does with these values for animation.
Yes — the high path-tracing values in D5 Render do affect animation render quality, just as they do for single still renders, so your settings are applied consistently across all frames. What Is Real-Time Path Tracing in D5 Render & Why It Matters
Thank you. Yes, I read that page, but I then tried tests on my RTX 4090 graphics card and it’s the same. Increasing the values doesn’t affect rendering time or quality. Furthermore, path tracing in video displays noise that doesn’t appear in still images where the SPP is set to 512 or higher. Only changing the image resolution can change the quality, or perhaps I’ve missed something.
If you can suggest settings that affect video quality, I’d appreciate it.
There’s a difference between rendering still images and video. Currently, it is a known issue that video renderings appear below still images; we’re optimizing this in future releases.
If you have rendered a video without PT and then with PT and have noticed no difference, or the quality has gone astray, we would appreciate it if you could send us a video recording showing the 2 results side by side.
