Difference between Viewport and Render

In older version you could rely on real-time preview to control final render output and that has always been a strength of GPU based rendering. But with the new GI, it’s very difficult to predict what the final outcome will be. Is there any plan to make viewport more accurate and actually usable? Right now solution is either switch to older GI for better control or do tons of trial and error and spend as much time as other software and CPU based rendering.

Even the preview accumulation mode is no where close to final output. Have tried turning off all DLSS related settings but as long as I use the new GI I cannot rely on viewport.
