Decals on glas?

Hi everyone!

Why isn’t it possible to apply decals (2D) directly onto glass in D5? I’d like to add a mark or label on a glass surface. While I can create and add a 3D object for it in Archicad, it would be much easier to simply place it within D5 rendering software.
is there any workaround for it?

Hi there,

I apologize for the inconvenience. This is currently a known issue and will be addressed in subsequent releases. Currently, there is no known workaround for this in D5 Render itself but i think it will be possible adding such decals in Photoshop or other software. Thank you for your understanding.

Currently, it is not possible to stick decals on glass. As admin said, it may be updated in the next few versions.
But I can give you a temporary solution. Take a Plane in Model->Basic. Then paste the material you want to make a decal on it. Convert the material from Custom to Custom Alpha. Then use PSD as Opacity Maps to make it more realistic.
I tried it and will update the image for you below.
