D5 Sync still asks to update D5 Render even though it’s already up to date

I am using D5 Sync 0.4.8.0006 with Revit. When I try to start the sync, I get this error message:
“Please update D5 Render, then try again!”

However, my D5 Render is already updated to the latest version (2.10.2.0589). The D5 Launcher also confirms that no update is required.

I have already tried:

  • Reinstalling the latest version of D5 Render
  • Running Revit, D5 Render, and D5 Sync as Administrator
  • Selecting the installation path of D5 Render manually

But the issue still persists.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? How can I fix this so D5 Sync recognizes the updated D5 Render?

I already have D5 Render installed, and I tried using Select Path to point to the installation folder. I even opened D5 Render from the Start Menu → “Open file location” and selected the folder, but the error still appears.

Hi @u.yagcitr

The new plug-in for Revit supports D5 Render 2.11 onwards. Since you’re using 2.10.2, this might be the one causing the error prompt.

  • Additionally, can you confirm if using the previous version of the plug-in can be used normally?

Can you please follow these steps:

  • open D5 into a blank project manually
  • click start sync——if all work normal,close and exit D5.
  • click start sync to relaunch D5,check result if the error prompt still appears.
