Hi, I usually use D5 at my company.
One day, I tried to make a simple modification on the modeling on one of my
partners computer (mine gone wrong at the moment) and even though I opened it
the same way, it didn’t work. (It was in the same path on the same Nas server)
I could open it but the rhino and d5 didn’t sync that I couldn’t make the
change until I got my desktop back.
So here is the question,
Is there any way I can make modification in another computer with the pro license?
do I have to buy a Team License to make a change in the modeling? Is that the only way?
Thank you
Hi @hdskl96, please were you also able to access the rhino file on your partner’s computer?
You should get a notification to sync to an existing D5 file if you try to sync again from the new computer. However, I’ll like to know the Rhino Live sync version you are using as well as your D5 Render version.
Yep, I also accessed the file through the whole same process, rhino - connect to the d5 render - d5
When it was done well on my computer, the notification giving me two options, whether “sync it to the file” or “new project” came out, and it did on the other computer too. But there was no file to sync on my partners computer, except the assets I made.
However the Rhino Live Sync version is 1.0.0.0029 and the D5 is 2.8.0.0471
Thank you
Hi @hdskl96 to sync with an existing D5 file, the D5 scene folder must be accessible on your partner’s computer as well.
Please are you able to access both the Rhino file and D5 scene folder on your partner’s computer via the NAS server?
