D5 specific origin re glitchy/stretched textures

Hello!

New to the forum (and D5). We are working with a Rhino file that uses our national coordinate system - which means the geometry is very far from 0,0,0. The Rhino model can not be moved because we need to be able to contiously import CAD data without any additional steps or coordination with the participating consultants. Problem is D5 doesn’t like this and the textures come out stretched and glitchy. Is there a way to set a local origin point in D5 and keep the rhino objects in their original location? Thanks!

Hi @tobias.palsson

If you’re using the Livesync plug-in, then it might be hard to change the XYZ points without modifying it in Rhino itself since constant modification in Rhino may set the model to its original Rhino Axis.

Although I’m not sure if this will be applicable in your situation, you can directly modify the axis of your 3d Model in D5 Render. You may need to utilize direct import or import via .d5a with this so you can modify the values of (0,0,0).
