Hello! So today I was unable to use D5 at work for about 30 minutes, not because of my connection, but because D5 itself was down for me. The issue is when this happens I get logged out of my pro account. I was not able to render without watermarks. Is it too much to ask for a system that holds our licence offline for a least a couple of hours? Maybe a token system like Denuvo, since piracy is the concern here.
It’s quite frustrating to not be able to work if there’s connection issues, especially when it’s not on my end!
I apologize for the inconvenience. Just to clarify:
We did not have any maintenance that may have caused this issue.
We cannot grant your request since that is not possible.
This issue might be related to your internet service provider or such, we recommend the following if this occurs again:
Try to use a VPN
Connect to another Network or Mobile Data
Although such problem if experienced, may be caused by blocking our IPs, which is usually common for users who are in a company set-up. Thus, we recommend whitelisting our IPs through your IT Department’s assistance (we can provide you our IPs if you ever need it).
Additionally, In the 2.10 Update, we’ve implemented a solution where your PRO account status is checked per project in the rendering queue . Therefore, normal short-term network fluctuations should no longer result in watermark issues for users unless if it’s a major network problem.
