d5 rendering on a virtual windows machine (tensordock)

Hi all,

D5 Render gets stuck forever on “Initializing” when creating a new project on my virtual windows machine. No errors, just endless spinning.

Setup:

  • Location: Tier 3 Data Center, Orlando, US (Public IP: 8.17.147.160)
  • Hardware: 4 CPU cores, 1x RTX 4090 GPU, 16 GiB RAM, 100 GiB Disk
  • VM: Windows guest (version? [add if known])
  • Tried: Reinstall D5, update drivers, enable 3D accel, more resources

Any fixes?

who has it running on a cheap virtual server? Any thougths?

Thanks a lot!

Hi @torbenschwennesen

Could you please confirm your D5 client version? Were you able to use D5 normally on this VM before, or is this your first time running it here? Thanks!
