D5 Render taking twice as long to render

A few weeks ago my d5 started taking twice as long to render a simple scene. There were several crashes during the configuration process.
Before a 2K scene took a maximum of 50 seconds and now it is taking 2 minutes longer.

I’ve done everything and haven’t been able to solve it. I need help!

Hi there,

I apologize for the inconvenience this issue has caused. Did you recently upgrade your Windows version? Graphics Driver Version? Before you experienced the significant changes? This happened on the exact same file you are working right?

Can you send us your system information?

No, no updates have been made.
There are times when this problem doesn’t happen like last night, and today during the day the huge delay and slowness started again. Follow system information

Hi there,

Thank you for sending this image. There’s currently an issue regarding NVIDIA Graphics Card Driver 572.16 which is known to increase Rendering time and users have also reported Lower FPS while using this version. You can try to revert to 566 Version and see if there are any differences.

I did this and it seems to have made the situation even worse.
The program was very slow, took a long time to open and the frames were almost impossible to use.

To give you an idea, a 1000x1000 scene is taking 4 minutes to render now, whereas in Enscape it took 7 seconds. And in the past on D5 it was a maximum of 20 seconds.

I’m almost going crazy with this!! Because I depend on D5 for my work

Hi @paloma.bonani

That’s weird, it shouldn’t make the situation worse considering the 566 Drivers should be more stable. Just to clarify these files are the same as it was weeks ago, no scatter assets nor heavy vegetation were added? Of course, if these files did not have any dynamic assets or scatter assets weeks ago it will be lighter and faster to open.

I carried out all the processing and unfortunately the problem persists, and now it takes a long time to even open a new model. I really don’t know what to do anymore

Here’s a screenshot of how it got worse, the image taking 16 minutes to render at 2k?? Since it was in 50 seconds

Problem solved!!!
The driver’s procedure had helped with the frames, which were much better, but the rendering delay was still very long, what I did was go to my nitrosense and set the settings in the print below

Now it’s faster than before, a 2k image renders in 40 seconds!!! Thank you very much for your help with the drivers and here’s the nitrosense tip for Acer Nitro 5 users

All very interesting. I also have a 3050 Laptop GPU and 32gb of Ram and my rendering time slowed down a lot in the last day. But I have a Lenovo. Maybe some of my software has been affected too.

Hi @paloma.bonani

Thank you for this detailed feedback and update regarding this issue. Just to clarify the following:

@letsliveinteresting You might also want to check these settings on your computer or access the Lenovo Vantage App for Lenovo Devices and ensure that the settings are set to maximum
Note: Lenovo Vantage is the equivalent of Acer Nitrosense or Armoury Crate (ASUS)
