D5 Render low fps issue

Something has happened since the last update that causes d5 to run at very low fps. On my current project it fell into single digit fps. To test if it was due to the scene being too complex, I created a new project, placed in 4 basic shapes (132 faces in total), and it’s around 30 fps. No clouds, no wind, no lights, no terrain, just standard blank d5 project with 4 basic shapes. I have been using d5 for 2 years and had no issues before. But something is off now. I am experienced with computers in general so the “update driver; reinstall this or that…” isn’t help. My specs are:

CPU Ryzen 5 5500
RAM 32 GB
GPU RTX 3060 12GB

Hi @napalmd686

Can you please share the following images:

Based on your description, it’s happening to all of your files and it seems that D5 on your device is utilizing your Integrated GPU instead of your Dedicated GPU (RTX). This can be checked by accessing the GPU portion of the task manager while opening a D5 file.

If my guess is right, you can either:

After a few hours I managed to find the issue. It was an AddInProcess.exe that was utilizing 100% of GPU and it was related to NVIDIA drivers somehow. I force deleted it, and now it is all good again.

Hi @napalmd686

Alright, thanks for the update.
