D5 Render ignore system temp folder = huge amount of data on drive C

I noticed that D5 Render ignore system temp folder location and store huge amount of data on system drive C.

Many users use drive C for system only files and this drive is relatively small compared to other. This cause that I even can’t start rendering process because this D5 temp folder can grow to 20GB.

I think that D5 should use system temp folder location or workspace settings inside D5.

Hi @Smolak

It looks like you’re asking whether it’s possible to change the roaming folder configuration, similar to how Autodesk products handle it.

  • Unfortunately, this is not supported at the moment. Currently, temporary model and asset files can only be stored in the default directory: %appdata%/roaming/temp.
