I am experiencing an issue where my frosted glass materials are rendering as simple transparent glass without any light scattering or “blur” effect. Despite increasing the Roughness and applying a Normal map, the objects behind the glass remain perfectly sharp instead of being diffused.
Thank you for reaching out. This is a known behavior/limitation of the transparent material system in D5. In D5, the Roughness parameter only affects reflections from the glass surface, not the refraction of objects seen through the glass.
You may try the Frosted Glass preset from the Asset Library. This preset already includes the necessary normal maps to simulate diffusion.
