D5 Render 3.0.1 Frequent Crashes — LiveSync Related

Hello, my name is José Betances (@perspectivaavs). I am an architect from the Dominican Republic and I run a small architectural visualization studio that relies heavily on D5 Render for daily professional work.

After updating to D5 Render 3.0.1, the software began closing randomly without any warning or error message. I have already tried all common and advanced fixes, including:

  • Updating and rolling back NVIDIA drivers (Game Ready and Studio)
  • Reinstalling D5 multiple times
  • Installing on a new disk
  • Fresh Windows 11 installation
  • Disabling GPU scheduling and overlays
  • Renaming local framework DLL files (MSVCP140.dll & MSVCP140_1.dll)
  • Reinstalling Visual C++ packages
  • Submitting log files to support

None of these solutions resolved the issue.

However, after running controlled tests, I discovered that D5 remains stable when LiveSync is not in use. The crashes return immediately when using SketchUp LiveSync. This strongly suggests the problem is not hardware-related but connected to the LiveSync communication bridge.

I experienced a very similar situation in past versions (2.4–2.6), which was eventually resolved through updates, so I believe this may again be a synchronization-level issue rather than a user-side problem.

At the moment I am forced to work without LiveSync, exporting models manually, which is slower but stable. The difficulty is that all my current projects were imported through LiveSync and are already in advanced stages, making it extremely hard to restart from scratch.

I kindly ask the D5 team to review this situation and, if possible, provide a small LiveSync fix or patch, as similar targeted fixes in previous versions greatly improved stability. Even a minor update to the synchronization system could potentially resolve the crashes and help many professionals continue working without disruption.

Thank you for your time and support.
