D5 Hi security warning

I get security warnings with both Avast and Bitdefender security software, does this happen to others?

Hi @3DG

Thank you for reaching out. This is an unusual issue, have you received the same notifications when you installed D5? or only when you try to use our D5 Hi?

D5, D5 Hi, or any related D5 software doesn’t have a virus, so your hardware is safe. Try to reinstall the program again. If the notification pops up again, try disabling it and you’re good to go. You can also try to whitelist D5 and D5 Hi.

If you need anything, feel free to reach out.

Thank you.

It’s only on D5 Hi, but it’s every time I’ve tried to use it in the last few months. It’s unusual for two different security softwares to block it.

Hi @3DG

Thank you for your response. I will bring this issue to our dev team for their review meanwhile you can whitelist D5 hi as of this time while they are figuring out the issue.

Thank you for your understanding.

Please note that it didn’t do this for the first couple of months, there must have been a change that has triggered it.

Thanks for the add-on info. Progress on this, the backend team is currently reviewing the cause of this issue. I’ll get back to you right away for the update.

The error is probably the website certificate.

SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN

Googling:

“The ssl_error_bad_cert_domain error is shown when the domain name on the certificate doesn’t match the domain of your site. A lot of hosting providers will have a default SSL certificate installed using their own domain. This error occurs when visiting a site that doesn’t have its own certificate installed.”

This is happening on Firefox, Edge and Chrome. It’s not related to the D5 software.
