D5 hangs, cant do anything for 10 minutes

Hi guys

Im having a problem where d5 hangs and i cannot do anything, the screen bugs to something like this

its been happening for the last year on all projects.

after about 10, 15 minutes the file returns to normal, but it happens 5 - 6 times a day, even with smaller and lighter files

Can you send us the following images:

Suggestion:

  • Updating your system drivers, which include NVIDIA Drivers, BIOS, or even Windows updates, may help.
  • It’s best to send us a video recording and your log file.

i dont how to record my screen… The files keeps like this and i cant do anything, not even saving or move through the viewport

after 10 minutes, it returned to normal but it happens 5, 6 times a day

Hi @NOG_the_DOG

Can you try to use NVIDIA Driver 572.83? Although some of the issues with 576.02 onwards are only affecting the RTX 5000 Series GPU, it is best to avoid it for now, considering the issue.

  • You can record a video by using Alt + F9

Let me know if there are any improvements.

ive been having this problem for at least 1 year, i had those drivers you mencioned (572.83) but it happened again (it happened on my last 10 - 15 projects).

cant click on any button or option

i recorded a moment when this happend, on the video the ui is missing i dont know why, but its was there. But i wasnt able to click any of them, while the file was hang up… the only thing ai was able to move ( cant select anything aswell) was the viewport, which was stuttering

Hi @NOG_the_DOG

Thanks for providing the video, but we may need to have you record it again with the UI being seen. I suggest using Bandicam and enabling Mouse Pointer and Keystroke, so we will be able to know which keys were pressed.

Additionally, just to reconfirm, this issue is evident even on empty files? Or Demo-scene files?

the ui is stuck again in this video, cant save and the viewport, while still moving, is very sttutery ( on normal use its smooth at 120fps)
