I applied for the D5 Edu (student) license using a friend’s computer, not knowing that the license would be permanently bound to the device used during application.
Now I need to use D5 on my own personal computer for my university work, but the license is currently tied to my friend’s device.
Has anyone experienced a similar situation?
Is there any way to transfer or reset the Edu license for a new device?
Yes, this is a common request; however, please note that the Edu License is a fixed-seat license, which means it is permanently bound to the device on which it was first activated. For data security reasons, we are unable to unbind or transfer the license to another device during its active period.
