How can we create a similar material in D5 render as the multiTexture or corona multiMap material which allows us to batch load textures that can be attributed randomly to polygons. And than can generate random gamma and color variation applied to batch loaded textures.
I use these for all my projects to create roof shingles, brick walls, road pavements and curbs. Also for interior architecture visuals to create the wood plank flooring. Individual planks are generated with Floorgenerator and then I apply the corona multimap or multitexture material. Creates highly realistic floors. Is this in the works ? Or is there a equivalent workaround to achieve this with D5 render ?
Hi there, sorry for the late reply. Could you please try to use D5 Converter to import the model? The batch loaded textures can be attributed randomly to polygons if you use D5 Converter to import them.
Hi,
Not a problem. I completely understand the delay. A lot of people are starting to use D5 render and are eager to get more en more options integrated into the awesome package it already is. So you must receive quite some feedback.
I just tried your workaround.
I generated a wood floor with the floorgenerator plugin. Than collapsed all of it to edit poly. The material used on it, is the corona multimap material.
And when I use the converter and open the imported file in D5. This is what I get:
Hi there, maybe the plugin is not compatible with D5. Could you try other method to create the floor and see if the texture is normal? And we’ll try the plugin as well. We will inform you of any further developments. Thanks!
