Please can I ask for your help urgently, as I have been unable to work since the week-end. D5 crashes since updating to 2.11 and I haven’t been able to get on with any of my projects. Please can you help . I have e-mailed my logs to your support desk.
Upon inspection your Log Files, it seems that you’re still using NVIDIA Driver Ver 561.09, which was released last September 2024. I recommend updating your drivers and checking if the issue persists.
You may update via NVIDIA App or their Official Website
Let me know the results.
If the issue persists, please send us your Scene File. You may send it to our support email and please title it with 2.11 Clov-Forum D5 Crashes since updating to 2.11
Hi Clov,
I understand that you will need to remote access my PC. I have been unable to work all week because of the crashes. Please could you give me a date and time when you will be able to remote access. It doesn’t matter what time of night it is in the UK. I work from home so can just set an alarm. I am desperate for your help. Kind regards
Monique
[Update] Log files are collected, and the User has reverted to 2.10.2, which works normally. The crash occurs even with empty files or new D5 files, this issue is currently investigated.
Hi Clov, I has been a month now since the release of 2.11 and I am still not able to use it. I have e-mailed you several times but have received no reply. I have had to re-instate 2.10 to be able to continue working. I have attempted all the suggestions you made so far , but the issue is not resolved (the 2.11 Hotfix didn’t do the trick either). Please could you advise on next steps. Many thanks. Monique
I do prefer keeping the communication here in the forum since I’m primarily based here, although I appreciate you pointing this out. Last time, you had to wait for a colleague of yours to help you operate and troubleshoot this issue. Now, are you available to proceed?
We may need to have this conversation in Forum Messages just to minimize the forum thread but I’ll be updating this topic once the issue has been pinpointed and fixed.
Hi Clov,
I am just following up on the remote access session I had with one of your technicians on the 18th of September. He could not fix the issue with D5 crashing with version 2.11. He collected the logs and said that he would have to investigate further. I have not heard from him since. I feel disappointed that I haven’t been able to update to 2.11 since its launch in August. Please could you enquire and let me have an update. Many thanks. Kind regards
Monique
Most of our team is currently having their national holiday until October 8, 2025; hence, I may only be able to give you an update this October 9, 2025.
Hi Clov, I hope that you are ok. I have had a very busy past few months and am still working on version 2.10. I have not had the courage to update to 3 since its release as I worry that I may run into problems again. I remember when we spoke last that you said that we could have 2 versions of D5 on my PC at the same time so I could test the latest build but revert back to 2.10 if I run into problems. I can’t find the e-mail where you told me how to save my current version. Please could you let me know again, so that I can ask my IT support to help me and test build 3. If 3 didn’t work for me and I need to re-instate 2.10, is there any way that I can retain all the ‘recent’ projects within 2.10 (last time I re-instated, I lost all my ‘recent’ within the opening menu (I hope this makes sense). Please could you let me know.
