Hi there, I apologize for the inconvenience this issue has caused. I followed your exact steps through the video recording you provided, and I could not encounter the crash.
Can you confirm which version of the plug-in you are currently using? I’m using the latest version: 1.1.0.0002, with the D5 Render 2.9.1 Version (Still in grey-scale version, users are gradually able to download it)
Have you tried reinstalling the plug-in and see if it makes any difference?
Thank you so much for the detailed information you have provided.
I have D5 Render 2.9.0.0500 version and the same exporter like in your attached image.
I did a system restore and that seemed to solve the issue. I’m not sure what was causing D5 to behave like this. I’m assuming it has to do something with my graphics card as I was installing previously some dependencies to run ComfiUi locally
Hi there, thank you for your confirmation and I’m glad that it resolved the issue. If you ever encounter this issue again feel free to update this topic. Thank you.
Hello, I am having this exact same issue. Same version of D5, the Rhino Importer, etc. Is there anyway I can fix the issue without doing a system restore?
I tried reinstalling the plugin and the D5 Render application
I’ve tried multiple different files. Same as the previous poster, it works smoothly when I Export All > 1 Layer from Rhino. The issue occurs when I Export All > 2 layers or 3 layers.
Live sync works smoothly, but I would like to use direct import with 2 layers to be able to replace select objects with D5 assets.
D5 is using my Dedicated GPU (NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU)
Thank you for your detailed response. Can you please try to open your VRAM Info in TaskManager and then proceed to perform the same operation? I’m trying to see which GPU fluctuates.
What is your Rhino Version and the Plug-in’s version, can you please send me a screenshot of it?
Last resort, Can you send me the Rhino File that you are using where the issue is evident I can also test it on my end. You may send it to support@d5techs.com and have it titled “Clov-Forum D5 Crashes on Rhino Import with 2 Layers”
