D5 Crashes after 20 seconds on launch window

Yesterday D5 was working fine. Today, after a new boot, D5 would not load my project and would crash after 10-20 seconds. I then followed all the advice on the forum regarding crashes:

  • Increased TDRDelay to 60 sec
  • Checked and increased virtual memory
  • Installed new GPU drivers (nVidia)

Now it crashes on the launch window after 20 sec even before trying to load a project.

Looking at the log files they dont seem to be updated since I first installed a few months back.

This is very sad as I’ve just upgraded to Pro and it’s my first production project in D5 after many years with Lumion.

Solved. I re-installed D5 (un-install and then install) and it now works. Strange. I’ll post this for anyone with the same issue.

Did you update D5 Render 2 days ago when the problem happened?

No I was on version 2.5 and did not do any updates prior to the crashing. 2d it just started crashing. I’m not sure what caused it.

OK mate, what is your Windows version (detailed version number) and video driver version?
If you encounter this problem again in the coming 2.6, feel free to let us know.

nVidia ver 546.29

All stable the last few days. No crashing.
