I successfully rendered a 720 and a 2k animation, but when rendering a 4k, the progress bar stalled at 61% (although the animation actually did finish). Afterwards D5 was kind of frozen - I could not exit the animation mode, but could however change the views in the viewport. I couldn’t save either, except for when I quit the application. Upon exiting, I was asked to save the file, and then the attached error message popped up. What does it mean?
FYI, I I’m running latest D5 v2.10 on a Win10 Pro i9-7900X 3.30Ghz 64GB RAM with 3080Ti
Hi @ewest
I apologize for the inconvenience. This particular error prompt usually shows if the Driver Version of your device is too old or is not updated. Based on the images that you have sent:
- Your Driver Version is still at 6094, which was released last August 14, 2024. Please try to update your driver version, but avoid updating it to 576.02 since this particular driver is problematic. I suggest using 572.47 instead.
Driver version surely affects the performance of your device if it is not updated. So, installing a newer one may or may not help.
- May I know how heavy these files were? Or does it only occur in this specific file?
Although you have sent your GPU-Z results, can you please send us these images also:
- System Info
- VRAM - Please OPEN your D5 File while checking VRAM
- Memory Speed
