Hi!
I have just bought and built a pc based on the specs D5 give on their website, but when I render some bigger projects I have problems rendering with wind, extra cameras, snow and rendering night videos.
When I try to add the wind, D5 shuts down.
When I select a second camera (with the size for social media) the screen glitches and D5 shuts down, when I add a second camera I don’t have this problem.
When I render snow, D5 glitches in big pixels on some parts of the render (see the photo below)
I tried to render a video of a project with the enviroment on night but D5 renders till 99 percent and when trying to export it D5 shuts down.
If needed, I can send you screenrecordings when these problems occur. Let me know.
btw I use D5 version 2.9.1.0509 because a sync problem with D5 version 2.10 and Vectorworks
My pc specs are:
CPU: AMD Ryzen9 9950X
GPU: AMD RX7900 XTX
Ram: 64GD DDR5 6000mhz
Opslag: 2 terrabite M2 SSD
Are there some settings I need to change or are my specs not enough?
Regards
Hi there @markbosch04
I apologize for the inconvenience this issue has caused. Does this issue occur in all your other D5 Files as well, or does it only occur on specific files with heavier file sizes?
Can you send us the following information?
- Memory Speed - Ideally it’s best to keep this around 4000 Mhz or below
- System Info
- VRAM - Open the d5 file while checking the VRAM
I will send you an email with the screen recordings when the problems occur.
I will send an email to support@d5techs.com with your username as subject.
Why is it necessary to slow down the speed of RAM?
Hi @markbosch04
So the crash occurs only when these specific actions are carried out? I believe this was addressed in the recent 2.10 Version, but you are still not using the 2.10 Version because of a known issue with Vectorworks (VW issue will be fixed in subsequent release, we have identified the problem and will release as soon as possible)
For now, these crashes are related to VRAM Consumption spikes and were a known issue in 2.9.1, I suggest optimizing the file by hiding assets that are not seen in specific scenes. Additionally, would you be willing to send us your file so I can test it on my end and see if the issue persist even in 2.10? Thank you.
